Gearing

I’d say it’s a combo of the track coming in and the same tires and air and I’m gonna guess here.....a fresh wipe of prep before you went out locked it down a bit.
 
That's where you went wrong, you were tire tight had you kept the right tires under it or at least went up in air same gearing was fine, there are very few tracks where you'll be real good in heats and be able to keep that speed in feature staying on the same tires prepped same.
