Stinger clutch question

Ran last night. Didn't run chain tensioner. Using blue springs. It engages about 2600 to 2700 rpm. Still jerking and grabing. The drum and shoes are fine as far as I can see. Just don't understand this. If all of them did what this clutch is doing I don't see how they could sell them. I amy send it to Martinbuilt to see if he can straighten it out.
When I gas it it grabs but it's terrible up till then. I have measured the drum and it seems good and round. Very disappointed with it.

Measured the gap between the shoes and the drum. All three measured right at .064. The drum is within .002 on the roundness. The drum looks good. All three shoes are running on the center of the shoes.
You can see that the sides haven't made contact. You can see it on the drum also.
Think I am just going to go ahead and send it to Martinbuilt and let them blueprint it and hope that fixes it. I don't know what else to do. This is a picture of each shoe.
